According to information from the State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugee and Migration, in the past decade, the Carolinas have welcomed more than 5,400 refugees from countries all over the world. Most of those who have come to our state as refugees in the last decade have made their homes in Raleigh, Durham and Charlotte.
